Washing results depend heavily on how you set your machine. Temperature controls how stains break down, while the cycle controls how fabrics are treated. The wrong combination can reduce cleaning or damage fabrics; the right one does both — cleans effectively and protects what you wear.

Know the right temperature range
Different temperatures suit different loads: 30°C for light dirt and colour protection, 40°C for most everyday garments, 60°C for towels, bedding and hygiene loads, and 90°C only for heavily soiled whites. Start lower by default and increase only when the load truly needs it.

Match the cycle to the fabric
The cycle changes drum movement and wash time, so it matters as much as temperature: Cotton for durable fabrics, Synthetics for mixed loads, Delicate for sensitive items, and Quick Wash for lightly soiled clothes. Match the cycle to the most sensitive item in the load.

Temperature, cycle and detergent should support the same load. High heat is not always better — it can set some stains and wear fibres faster.
